The First of many: Audi reveal first ever F1 livery

Audi have revealed their first-ever Formula 1 car with a stunning launch event at Kraftwerk Berlin. Audi first announced their wish to enter into the world of Formula 1 in August of 2022 and have now taken over the old Kick Sauber Team. Sauber has been in F1 for years under various different names. The drivers remain the same, the (now) German bosses deciding to stick with Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto. The team decided to mark their arrival as a full works Formula 1 team with a spectacular event at a historic power station in the heart of the German capital with the CEO, head of the Audi F1 project and the team principle as well as the drivers in attendance.

Audi has enjoyed immense success in other motorsport categories, especially the DTM series, and are looking to continue that streak in open-wheel racing with the R26. The livery had been somewhat revealed since November 2025 with a smaller launch event in Munich, however the team could now boast a plethora of sponsors next to the iconic four rings that speak for themselves in the world of cars.

With all of their success and experience in motorsport Audi knows the challenge that lays ahead of them.

“Today marks more than a launch; it marks the public declaration of a new era for Audi,” said CEO Gernot Dollner. “Formula 1 is the most demanding stage in the world of motorsport, and we are here not just to compete, but to define the future of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik.
